Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd
MOISTURE CONTROL and COOLING SERVICES
Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd is a company you can rely on when moisture control and air cooling are crucial factors that can make or break the production process. Excessive moisture in the air can lead to spoilage of the final product, particularly in confectionery, timber & ceramic industries. That’s why it’s important to invest in a reliable air and cooling dehumidification system that can maintain the ideal humidity levels in your production facility.
- Regulatory Compliance: Confectionery production is subject to various food safety regulations, including moisture and temperature control standards.
- Implementing dehumidification systems helps confectionery manufacturers comply with these regulations and maintain consistent product quality.
- Seasonal Variations: Dehumidification is especially important in regions with fluctuating weather conditions. Seasonal changes in humidity levels can impact production processes and product quality. Dehumidification systems provide stability in such environments.
- Worker Comfort: Maintaining a comfortable and dry working environment is essential for the well-being of employees. Dehumidification can help create a more comfortable workplace, potentially improving morale and productivity among production staff.
This will ensure the quality and consistency of your products and also prevent costly production delays with possible equipment damage. With the right system in place, you can achieve optimal conditions for your manufacturing process,
Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd can help you meet this goal.

DHD Control Panel
The Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd range of Process Dehumidifiers are drying machines, with heat pump efficiency, to be at the centre of a purpose-built installation or system. It has taken numerous years of research and development to produce a machine that can dry and operate at 65°C and 20% RH for gum Arabic with a drying time of 44 hours and also capable of drying and operating at 20°C and 20% RH for gelatine with a drying time of 24 hours using SIEMENS PLC to control different recipe for different product
Traditional methods of drying consume and waste large amounts of energy. With little control, it is easy to damage the materials being dried. Rapid and vast changes to the surrounding air temperature or humidity adversely affect most materials. Shrinkage causes surface cracks or splits through the entire material thickness. Surface hardening slows the rate of drying or renders texture and body to unacceptable quality. Every material requires a different drying programme and such variation is only available from controlled dehumidification as employed by Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd.
- Timber — hardwood & softwood,
- Ceramics – products & moulds
- Confectionery — starch moulded & others
- Textiles
- Horticulture
- Tanneries
The drying of differing materials is part of a wide range of processes for many different products. Traditional drying methods are not very scientific but are based upon a crude principle of heating the material with the surrounding air and then venting the air, hopefully with moisture but certainly with expensive energy, to the atmosphere.
The Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd principle is simple with our applied science and technology.
Product Cooling
At Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd we utilise a No Vent System design. With no moisture ingress from the external environment meaning the product is not dependent on the weather. All the moisture extraction and cooling of the system is carried out using heat recovery & refrigeration. The result is a perfectly consistent product with low drying energy costs and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
Here at Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd we fully understand that cooling is a crucial step, particularly in confectionery manufacturing. It helps to solidify the products, enhance their texture, and prevent them from sticking together. Proper cooling also ensures that the products maintain their shape and appearance. Without it, confectionery products can become brittle, lose their flavour or even spoil. Cooling is especially important for chocolate and sugar confections, as they are sensitive to temperature changes. In addition, cooling helps to increase production efficiency by reducing the time it takes for products to be set.
Overall, investing in proper cooling equipment and techniques is essential for producing high-quality confectionery products. Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd has the knowledge & years of experience to design & install a system that is dedicated to fit your particular requirements.
Product Dehumidification
Dehumidification is an important aspect of the manufacturing process in many industries. A Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd assessment can help determine the best solution for your specific needs. High humidity levels can lead to product spoilage, corrosion, and even equipment failure. By removing excess moisture from the air, dehumidification systems can help maintain optimal conditions for production and ensure product quality.
In the pharmaceutical industry, dehumidification is essential for maintaining the efficacy of medications. In the food industry, it helps prevent spoilage and extend shelf life. In electronics manufacturing, it prevents damage to sensitive components. Choosing the right dehumidification system for your facility requires careful consideration of factors such as humidity levels, air volume, and energy efficiency.
Investing in dehumidification can ultimately save you money and increase productivity while improving the quality of your products. Don’t let excess moisture compromise your manufacturing process – consider implementing a state-of-the-art Drycool Engineering Systems Ltd dehumidification system today.

YOUR COMPLETE DRYING PACKAGE FROM DRYCOOL ENGINEERING SYSTEM LTD – Each material and product requires a different drying programme. To determine a programme and to demonstrate the benefits a trial is carried out in the Drycool UK test chamber. The hardware can then be selected or designed.
- Dehumidifier – From the range which is manufactured by Drycool UK.
- Chamber – A thermally insulated room with an airtight door, electrical power and drain for condensate. This can be a new construction, with lightweight panels, or an existing room modified for the purpose.
- False Ceiling – To enable the free movement of air from the dehumidifier to the product at the opposite end of the chamber.
- Chamber Fans – It is sometimes necessary to assist air circulation by the addition of fans into the void above the false ceiling. A densely packed product, stacked from floor to ceiling, in a large chamber, will require additional fan power to overcome the restriction to airflow.
- Chamber Heaters – Small chambers often rely on the heat generated by the dehumidifier to raise the air temperature for the best performance and economy. Large chambers, for materials dried best at elevated temperatures, require heaters to speed up the increase of air temperature.
- Control Panel – Situated outside the chamber, the panel contains all electrical equipment to control and display the drying programme.
